frequently asked questions

(Transparent thermoplastic urethane film, known as paint protection film (PPF), is applied to a car’s painted surfaces to safeguard the paint from stone chips, bug splatters, and minor abrasions.)

(Paint protection film (PPF) offers numerous benefits, including protection against stone chips, bug splatters, minor abrasions, and UV rays. Some PPFs have self-healing properties, ensuring the paint stays pristine. It’s nearly invisible, durable, and easy to maintain, contributing to the vehicle’s resale value and overall aesthetic preservation.)

(Leading PPF brands utilize software to generate templates for each car panel requiring protection. These PPF templates are then processed by a plotter, producing ready-to-apply panels. The advantage of precut templates lies in the absence of blades or knives near the car, minimizing the risk of accidental cuts to the original paintwork.

(XPEL Paint Protection  This high-performance film can last from five to ten years or longer, depending on how well it is maintained. It can be removed and replaced at any time.)

(The entire PPF procedure spans approximately 5-6 working days. This encompasses car preparation, paint correction, applying the PPF, curing, and concluding with a thorough final inspection.)

Simply put, the answer is no.

Getting a top-notch result is like a recipe with a few key ingredients:

  • How well the paint gets prepped, considering both the time spent on it and the skills of the detailing team.
  • The skill and know-how of the crew doing the installation. Good PPF installers are pretty rare, and they play the biggest role in how things turn out.
  • The place where it all happens. For PPF to work its magic, it needs to be put on in just the right conditions—think controlled temperatures and a super clean space without any pesky dust particles.

(We use a CNC-cutting technology meaning there is no need to remove any badges or panels on your car.)

Yes we do. Please get in touch for further details.

We ask our clients to come back after 3 weeks for a check up after PPF application to check curing has properly taken place. After this time, there is no need for a yearly check up/maintenance etc, but if you have any concerns with your PPF we are always happy to check it out.
